1. Who we are

Questy is operated by Piyush Sawant, a sole proprietor based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. Contact: piyush354@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email, name, avatar (if provided by your sign-in provider).
  • Story data: choices you make, episodes you reach, character relationships, inventory, achievements.
  • Generated content: AI-generated audio and text tied to your story decisions.
  • Payment metadata: subscription status, plan, and billing-period dates. Card details are handled by Paddle and are never seen or stored by us.
  • Technical data: device, browser, IP address, error logs.

3. How we use it

  • To deliver the Service (generate episodes, track progression, sync state).
  • To process subscriptions via Paddle and grant premium access.
  • To improve the product, debug, and prevent abuse.
  • To send transactional emails (sign-in, receipts, billing notices).

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We rely on: contract (to provide the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), and consent (for any optional marketing communications).

5. Sharing

We share data with sub-processors that help us run the Service: Supabase (database, auth, storage), Paddle (payments and tax compliance, Merchant of Record), OpenAI / ElevenLabs / other AI providers (story and audio generation), and email and analytics providers. We do not sell personal data.

6. Retention

We retain account and story data while your account is active. On deletion we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data. Email piyush354@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

8. International transfers

We process data in the United States, the European Union, and India. Where required we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app.
